Utah Brewers Represent at the Utah Brewers OktoberFest!

Desert Edge Brewmaster Chris Haas:

It was a gathering of all…well, most of the brewers in Utah.

Brewers from large and small breweries alike came together to celebrate, hangout, drink beer and eat. A great time was had by all and the camaraderie and openness of all the brewers was well received.

It was great to see everyone so soon, as it had only been a few months since the brewers in town gathered for our collaboration beer HB51. This is an event that doesn’t happen enough in the brewing community and hopefully we will gather again before long.

Desert Edge Brewery Radius Ale on Tap

It's here! It's here! The Radius Ale is on tap right now! If you're not familiar with the Radius Ale, it's a 100% local beer with all ingredients coming from within a 150 mile radius from Salt Lake City. This is a "harvest" or "green hopped" golden ale and it's extremely hoppy. Chris Haas (the brew master) only makes it once a year and it goes fast (were talking maybe three weeks!), so don't miss out or you'll have to wait till 2010.

Parking availibility for Trolley Square and Desert Edge Brewery during construction

As they say here at Trolley Square… “Changes are happening”… and now they are!

Construction of the Whole Foods building begins late September. It will occupy the North East parking lot in its entirety. When it is finished, it will include two levels of parking. For the time being your best option for parking is in the 200 stall West terrace. Parking in the Sixth South lot across the bridge is plentiful. The Western Gardens parking lot on 600 East is still available after 6:00 PM for overflow parking. Convenient valet parking will remain in operation. As always, it is located under the Trolley Square water tower on 700 East. We value your patronage and will do everything we can to make your visit to The Desert Edge Pub a success!

Thank you

Desert Edge Brewery to Move Brewery

Don't let that title get you stressed! It's true, we are moving the brewery but...only from downstairs to upstairs. The Pub is busy building a brand new space to house the brewing equipment. Maybe you've seen that new space emerging and have wondered, "what's going on"? Well, we thought we would share some pictures with you so you could see for yourself. The move is supposed to happen in June and we're very excited! If you are wondering how in the world we plan on getting all those heavy tanks from downstairs to upstairs well...we've rented a crane to lift them onto the patio where they will be moved into their new home.

Desert Edge Brewery

Desert Edge Brewery is located in the upper level of historic Trolley Square. We specialize in hand-crafted beers (on site) and handmade pub-style food and have been around for over 30 years now. We offer indoor and outdoor seating, Tavern (21 and older beer license) dining, bar seating, and a Family dining area (all ages liquor license.) Only in Utah do we need to clarify that, right?!?!

Trolley Square is currently undergoing renovations. We will be open throughout this time. The new double level parking structure located on the west side of Trolley Square (600 E.) is now open with lots of great parking. Also, there is parking located on the south side of Trolley Square (600S.) across the pedestrian bridge with elevator access at both parking options. And, Trolley Square is offering FREE valet parking which is located in the front of the mall (700 E.) under the water tower.
